KOR Kee Yee, Robert (許起予)

Co-Founder & Managing Director

KOR Kee Yee, Robert, as Co-Founder & Managing Director, brings to TechnoSolve experience in various facets of banking operations in Hong Kong spanning over three decades.

Robert was involved with Banking Information Technology since the 1970s and at the time already realized and understood the importance of technology as the main force behind a competitive and well-run banking operation. TechnoSolve is his brainchild, borne of his prognostication that the current technology used by banks today is quickly reaching its limits. He foresaw the need for a revolutionary new way of using the latest technology to architect a banking business platform that can cope with today's fierce competitive environment, and the paradigm shift from management of operations to management of risks. It is with this vision that the TechnoSolve International Banking System was built on.

Prior to founding TechnoSolve, Robert served as the Deputy Managing Director and Alternate Chief Executive for the former Hongkong Chinese Bank (HKCB). He was responsible for various banking operations unit including the Information Technology Department, where he spearheaded many pioneering strategic IT initiatives. This included being the first bank in the Asia Pacific region to house a full banking solution on IBM's AS/400 in the late 1980s, and one of the first banks in Hong Kong to implement Jetco on AS/400 in 1992 and the Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system in 1994.

Robert has an MBA from the Asia International Open University in Macau SAR.

Percy LAU (劉健旋)

Co-Founder

Percy LAU is the Co-Founder of TechnoSolve. He brings with him over 20 years of Information Technology experience in the banking domain, twelve of which was with the former Hongkong Chinese Bank (HKCB). As the Information Technology Head in HKCB, Percy oversaw and managed the implementation of many of HKCB's high profile "firsts" IT implementations for the bank, including Jetco on AS/400 and the Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system.

Prior joining to HKCB, Percy held several IT and management positions in Citibank and EDS.

Percy holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada, and an Executive MBA from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Sophy LEUNG (梁淑兒)

Co-Founder & General Manager

Sophy LEUNG is the Co-Founder & General Manager of TechnoSolve. She brings with her over 17 years of software development, project management and banking Information Technology and operations experience.

Sophy began her career with the former Hongkong Chinese Bank in the late 1980s as the very first member of the bank's Information Technology Department. During her years with HKCB, she was gradually promoted to Deputy Head of Information Technology, where she was responsible for overseeing all application development. She served as project manager for projects like Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) application and infrastructure, Loans system, and Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system.

She developed HKCB's IT operations guidelines and developer guides. She was closely involved with the Trade Finance and Retail Banking systems implementation. She also liaised with Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and HKCB's banking operations departments on the application development, regulatory requirements, and operations needs for Y2K, single-handedly creating the bank's Business Continuity Plan.

Sophy has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne in Australia.

Kary CHAN (陳志堅)

Assistant General Manager

Kary CHAN joins TechnoSolve as part of the founding team. He brings with him in-depth technical experience in software development for retail banking and securities trading application. Kary had 13 years in Information Technology in the Banking industry before joining TechnoSolve, 11 of which are with the former Hongkong Chinese Bank, where he rose from programmer trainee to project manager. At HKCB, Kary led the team that developed the bank's Teller Platform, Securities Trading, Automatic Teller Machine applications and infrastructure, clearing and settlement applications, internet applications, smart card and system security applications, and AMS/3 integration. He was also responsible for the bank's networking and IT infrastructure and specialized in multi-tiered client-server applications. Kary graduated from the Hong Kong Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science in Computing Studies.
